What is possible
The offering scales with your company. For a board meeting with a subsequent dinner, we work with group tables in the regular restaurant. For medium-sized company parties (30 to 80 colleagues), a BBQ on the beach or a walking dinner with live cooking a popular format. For large-scale year-end celebrations or company milestones (100+ colleagues), we discuss exclusive use of the pavilion or a large part of it, with a programme that spans the entire evening.
The BBQ is the main attraction for most company parties: live chef, fresh fish from Scheveningen Harbour, meat and elaborate vegetarian options, salads and side dishes from our own kitchen. For groups who prefer a seated dinner, there are group menus based on the shared dining concept. The cocktail bar serves classics and its own creations during drinks, and the kitchen remains open until 10:30 PM for desserts or a late bite. The bar stays open until midnight for nightcaps.
For the programme side, there are several combinations that we often do. Meetings on the beach A typical day's schedule with an adjoining company party: morning and afternoon work, BBQ from 5:00 PM, continuing until midnight. For companies wanting a more active start, we can organise a beach team activity prior to the party via partners on the boulevard (paddleboarding, beach challenge, cocktail workshop). For client parties and corporate events, we create a bespoke quote with a more formal structure, potentially including a speaker session or awards ceremony.
Suitable for
Corporate parties of various kinds. Staff parties and year-end celebrations, especially in November and December when many companies plan their Christmas drinks or year-end party. Sales kick-offs and quarterly events after a successful period or as a starting signal for a new year. Corporate milestones and anniversaries of 10, 25 or 50 years. Relationship events and client parties where you want to maintain the relationship in a setting that doesn't feel like a hotel hall. Product launches with an accompanying drinks reception or party. Award ceremonies where the festive conclusion is more important than the programme. Retirements or farewells to a colleague on a large scale.
Specifically for organisations based in The Hague (ministries, law firms, financial institutions, IT companies, scaleups), the combination of secluded daytime meetings and an evening company party by the sea works well. No travel day is wasted, and it provides an evening that colleagues will talk about for a long time to come.
How a company party proceeds
The programme will be tailored to your group. What a typical evening looks like for a group of approximately 60 colleagues:
Arrival around 17:00 or 17:30 with a welcome drink on the terrace or in the hall. Time to settle in, colleagues from different branches meeting again. Optional brief speech by management or the jubilarian, using the sound system and microphones we have as standard. From 18:30 onwards, a BBQ or walking dinner, with the grill in operation and the kitchen supplying the side dishes. Dessert around 21:00, followed by a transition to drinks and the dance floor. Live music or a DJ can be arranged upon request, or we can use a custom playlist suitable for the group. The bar will be open until 00:00.
For groups who want to continue later, we discuss options with partners on the boulevard, or an after-party at one of the hotels within walking distance.
Getting there from The Hague
An important argument for companies in The Hague: colleagues can be on site within half an hour. From The Hague Central Station in approximately 25 minutes by tram 1 or 9 (Kurhaus stop). By car from The Hague city centre in approximately 15 minutes via the Scheveningseweg or Nieuwe Parklaan. Kurhaus car park and Nieuwe Parklaan car park are within walking distance, offering over 1500 spaces in total. For colleagues from other branches or international guests, the Kurhaus, Carlton Beach, and NH Atlantic hotels are within walking distance. Schiphol Airport is approximately 50 minutes away by car via the A4. Rotterdam Central Station is approximately 45 minutes away by public transport.
Home-cooked meals
Our kitchen has been catering for groups and company parties for over 40 years. We don't use external caterers; everything comes from our own kitchen, from the welcome snacks to the dessert. For BBQ, we work with a live chef and fresh ingredients from local suppliers. For walking dinners or seated dinners, we tailor the menu to your group and preferences. We accommodate allergies and dietary requirements (vegetarian, vegan, gluten-free, lactose-free, halal, and for pregnant guests) as standard, provided they are communicated at least a week before the event. Guests with dietary requirements receive separate portions to prevent cross-contamination.

In your request, please specify: the desired date (and any alternatives), the number of colleagues, the type of company event (year-end party, Christmas drinks, sales kick-off, etc.), the desired catering, and any special requests. We usually send a bespoke quote within 1 working day.
For December (Christmas drinks, end-of-year celebrations) we recommend planning at least 8 to 12 weeks in advance, as this is our peak season. For regular company parties, 4 to 6 weeks. For exclusive use of the pavilion, 8 weeks or longer.
Faq
From how many people can I book a company party?
For sit-down dinners from 12 people in the regular restaurant. For BBQ and walking dinners from 15 people. For exclusive use, we discuss capacity on a tailored basis. We have hosted groups ranging from a few dozen to several hundred colleagues.
What does a company party cost at Blue Lagoon?
We work with tailor-made packages because the price depends on group size, chosen catering, drinks, programme, and potential exclusive use. Please request a quote for a custom price. For a complete evening, you can expect an amount between €70 and €120 per person.
Until what time can we continue?
The bar is open until midnight. For groups wishing to extend their stay, we can discuss options with our partners along the promenade.
Is exclusive use of the pavilion possible?
Yes, for large events or companies that want to control the entire atmosphere. For exclusive use, we can also open earlier than our regular opening hours. Please discuss this explicitly in your quote so we can align the calendar accordingly.
Do you have AV for speeches and presentations?
Yes, sound system and microphones. For more extensive AV (presentations, live streams, lighting shows), we can discuss possibilities or hire technical partners on request.
Can we use our corporate identity at the party?
Limited: role banners, branded napkins, and a personalised cocktail menu are possible. A complete restyling of the pavilion is not; Blue Lagoon has its own atmosphere and look that we will not mask. Discuss the possibilities with your quote.
Can I combine an afternoon meeting with a company party in the evening?
Yes, that's a common combination. Meeting package from €26.50 per person, with a BBQ or walking dinner afterwards. One quote for the whole day. See Meeting on the beach.
