We secretly thought it would be an April Fool's joke. One that everyone would completely fall for. But nothing could be further from the truth. The beach of Scheveningen also woke up under a blanket of snow.
Nothing is as changeable as the weather
Not even a week ago, the sun was shining as if summer had already begun. The birds were singing, and the flowers were in bloom again. Our terrace was ‘The place to be’. Out of the wind in the sun, you sometimes wished you were wearing shorts, that's how warm it felt.
Winter wonderland
Last night, the first snowflakes were already swirling down. The snow barely stayed, unlike last night and this morning. Scheveningen was covered with a few centimeters of snow. There wasn't quite enough snow to make snowmen and build igloos, but there was certainly a small snowball fight this morning. Old-fashioned snow fun!
