Secretly, we thought it would be an April 1 joke. One that everyone would totally buy into. But nothing could be further from the truth. Scheveningen beach too woke up in a blanket of snow.
Nothing is as changeable as the weather
Less than a week ago, the sun was shining as if summer had already begun. The birds were out whistling and the flowers were blooming again. Our terrace was 'The pace to be'. Out of the wind in the sun, you occasionally hoped you were wearing shorts, it felt so warm.
Winter wonderland
Yesterday evening, the first snowflakes were already swirling down. The snow barely stayed down unlike last night and this morning. Scheveningen was covered with several centimetres of snow. There was just too little snow for making snowmen and building igloos, but a small snowball fight was definitely there this morning. Old-fashioned snow fun!
